What we keep
When you send a request we store your name and email, the addresses you give us, what you tell us about the work, and the time. We use these to review the request and reply to you. We also keep a scrambled (one-way hashed) form of your connection's IP address for an hour or so, to stop the form being flooded. We never store the address itself.
Who sees it
The people who review requests. If you approve a notice, the details a notice must carry by law (your name, contact details and the addresses involved) go to the host you are filing with, and to Google if we file there too. Hosts often pass notices on to the person who posted the page, and Google publishes a copy of the requests it receives, which is why we show you every notice before it goes.
The site and its database run on Cloudflare. We do not sell anything you send us, there is no advertising or tracking on this site, and we set no cookies of our own.
How long
Requests we decline, or that go nowhere, are deleted after 12 months. Records of notices we file are kept for as long as the law may require us to show what was sent and on whose behalf. You can ask us to delete your request at any time by replying to our email.
